In this current chapter, my work sits at the intersection of enterprise architecture, cloud modernization, integration strategy, and business alignment. Across both contract and full-time roles, I support a suite of business applications that serve cross-functional teams and connect Hilton’s global operations to more scalable, secure, and maintainable technology patterns. The work requires more than technical design. It requires translating business need into architecture that teams can understand, trust, and sustain.
I design hybrid cloud and on-premise architectures, lead API and integration strategy, and guide the technical lifecycle of core business systems. Much of the work happens in the space between teams, where legal, operations, marketing, technology, and enterprise stakeholders need shared clarity before systems can move forward. This engagement expanded my work from building systems to shaping how enterprise teams think about systems. The work demanded both technical judgment and organizational fluency, because the real challenge was often not the application itself, but the number of teams, workflows, and decisions it needed to connect.

What began as a grassroots outdoor guiding company has grown into a brand shaped around connection, adventure, logistics, leadership, and experience design. The work combines business strategy, marketing, outdoor education, risk management, storytelling, and hospitality into guided experiences that help families, teams, and communities reconnect with each other and the world around them.
As founder, I’ve built the brand through strategic marketing, data-informed decisions, outdoor recreation insight, and hands-on operational execution. That has included supporting youth organizations, community recreation, global NGO projects, and disaster relief efforts. CampDads reflects a core belief that adventure is not escapism. At its best, it builds resilience, deepens trust, and creates shared stories that people carry home with them.

XITΛDEL was a decade of building at the edge of business, technology, and trust. As founder and principal, I led from the front, building teams, opening offices, navigating downturns, managing client relationships, and delivering solutions that had to work in the real conditions of growing organizations. The work ranged from enterprise platforms and e-commerce systems to higher education applications and legacy infrastructure modernization.
Across that season, I managed significant technology portfolios, scaled e-commerce businesses, improved admissions workflows, and helped optimize infrastructure supporting millions of monthly users. But the deeper lesson was not only technical. XITΛDEL taught me how to carry responsibility, make decisions under pressure, earn long-term trust, and build solutions that could serve both the immediate need and the future direction of a business. It remains one of the clearest expressions of my belief that architecture is as much about judgment and partnership as it is about code.

Teneleven was a fast, focused agency chapter that sharpened my ability to bring structure into creative environments. In a boutique setting with high-profile domestic and international clients, I worked across design, development, infrastructure, project management, vendors, and client relationships. The pace required practical judgment. Ideas needed to move quickly, but they also needed to be secure, stable, and maintainable.
I built and deployed custom content management systems, improved server environments, automated maintenance tasks, and helped streamline workflows across creative and technical teams. This role strengthened my ability to scale creative ideas into reliable digital systems. It also reinforced a pattern that has followed me throughout my career: the best work happens when creativity and discipline are not treated as opposites, but as partners.

Point Loma gave me the foundation for becoming a solutions architect before I had the title. Over a decade in a university environment, I worked across departments to design and deliver systems that improved institutional operations, user engagement, reporting, facilities coordination, and decision-making. The university setting required a particular kind of architecture: practical, people-centered, and deeply aware of how systems affect daily work.
I developed .NET applications, APIs, user experiences, donor management integrations, and a facilities platform connected to enterprise data, HVAC systems, security infrastructure, and vendor tools. That breadth taught me to see technology as part of a larger operating environment. A system was never just a database, interface, or workflow. It was a way people coordinated, communicated, and carried responsibility across an institution. This role shaped the way I still approach architecture today: build systems that work for people, not just around them.

Fletcher Hills Printing was where the discipline began. In a fast-paced print production environment, I learned design as craft, communication, production, and business tool. The work was hands-on and precise: identity systems, pre-press workflows, service bureau output, print coordination, integrated marketing materials, darkroom techniques, and camera-based effects. It was a world where every decision eventually became physical, visible, and accountable.
That early experience shaped how I think about digital work. Before interfaces, platforms, and enterprise systems, I learned that design is not decoration. It is structure, sequence, hierarchy, clarity, and trust. The habits formed in print, including attention to detail, respect for process, and awareness of the end user, continue to inform how I build and lead today. This was not a departure from my later technology work. It was the first expression of it.
Across print, web, software, enterprise platforms, entrepreneurship, and outdoor experiences, the work has changed, but the discipline has stayed consistent: design the system, understand the people, and build for what comes next.
